Apa ini? (What is this?) Ini buah yang khusus dari Indonesia? (This is a special fruit in Indonesia.) I realize it looks like a sea creature but I was brave and tried it. Believe it or not – it was delicious!

What is Rambutan Binjai?
Way to go Sandra!!!! It is rambutan! The root word is “ramput” which means hair, so, rambutan is the ‘hairy fruit’!
That was fast! Next week will have to be a bit more difficult!!
Yea! What does it taste like?
It’s really sweet. It’s texture is like a really firm grape and it has a pit in the middle. I think it is super fun that it has that hairy outer part! It’s strange because the outer part is like a shell – the fruit is only lightly attatched to it. The shell is soft. You just tear it open and the fruit is inside! Makes American fruit seem a bit boring don’t you think?
i am announcing my candidacy for winner of next week’s trivia question
Awesome Ben! You better be quick! Sandra wasted no time!
